The Owner Operator Settlement Coordinator is a key member of the payroll group and responsible for accurately processing weekly Owner Operator settlements and various payroll items such as garnishments, detention and third-party payments. This position provides support to employees, supervisors, managers, and HR.

Location: 10024 Investment Drive, Suite 200 Knoxville, TN 37932

Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $25

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Process employee garnishments to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations
Prepares Owner-Operator settlements for payment
Reconciles contractor invoicing with contractor deductions
Maintain payroll information, directing the collection, calculation, and data entry
Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving appropriate changes
Reviews driver detention for payment
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
Maintains employee confidence and keeps information confidential
Assist employees with pay questions and payroll software
Proactively works to improve processes, promote consistency and timeliness
Manages confidential and sensitive matters in person, over the phone and in writing

Education/Experience

High School Diploma required
1-3 years’ experience in Payroll required.
Experience in the transportation industry and customer service preferred

Skills Required:

Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Workday and/or TMW experience a plus
Familiar with wage and payroll tax practices
Ability to manage confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Thrives in a fast paced and changing environment
Excellent attention to detail
Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
Knowledge of payroll, garnishments, and benefits distribution
Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Majority of time will be spent in an office environment
Normal Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
After-hours and weekend work may be required
